Flower Resume
Free forever · AI per-JD tailoring
Novoresume
$19.99/mo · Polished templates · Limited free
Bottom line up front
Novoresume is one of the more polished resume builders on the market — clean templates, good UX, and a content analyzer that scores your resume. The downside: its free plan is heavily restricted (one resume, watermark on download, no custom sections), and the full experience costs $19.99/month. Flower Resume gives you AI tailoring per job description, unlimited resumes, and watermark-free PDFs — completely free. If budget is any consideration, the comparison is clear.

The Novoresume Paywall Problem
Novoresume's free plan is intentionally limited to drive upgrades. You get one resume with a Novoresume watermark on the downloaded PDF — which means you can't actually use it to apply to jobs for free. The things you actually need (watermark-free downloads, multiple resumes, custom sections) require the $19.99/month plan.
Over 3 months of job searching, that's $60. Over 6 months, $120. This is a meaningful cost when you're between jobs or searching while employed.
Flower Resume was built on a different philosophy: the free plan IS the product. Unlimited resumes, unlimited tailoring, unlimited PDF downloads — no watermarks, no paywalls, no subscription.
Where Novoresume Is Stronger
Novoresume has a more established template library with more visual variety. If you want fine-grained control over the look of your resume and are willing to pay for it, Novoresume delivers a premium design experience.
Their content scoring feature also provides detailed feedback on each section — helpful if you want guidance on improving your resume beyond AI tailoring.
